There was another Filmriss Photowalk in May 2025. We met up at Tempelhofer Feld in Berlin, where the weather was expected to be rainy and cloudy. Another community meet-up means seeing new faces, and I met James from London that day. We spent a good amount of time together on the walk.

I decided to try something new and dust off the old Fujica ST705. I mounted one of my favorite lenses on it, the Pentacon 50 mm 1.8. Since it wasn’t made for this camera, it messed with the internal light meter. Most of the first half of the roll of APX400 (which I think is just a repackaged Kentmere 400) was 1-2 stops underexposed. After I switched to metering with the phone app, the results got better. These pictures were taken after I left the final gathering at the Biergarten on my way back through the Tempelhofer Feld and a short train stop at Alexanderplatz.

I noticed that after I left the group and got on by myself, the creative knots were loosening, and I found one motif after another. I’m really into the images that came out, but I’m not a huge fan of the grain and tonality of the APX400.

Thanks for reading!

Felix
